  1. Hi David,

Because you are an HR expert who shares tips and best practices, I wanted to show you an interesting tool that some of your readers might be interested to hear about.

Maxim Health System’s Flu and Wellness Webinar, http://bit.ly/bnVzsF, discusses flu facts, some of the challenges companies face during the flu season, and how they can protect their employees. In light of last year’s H1N1 pandemic, it’s important for employers to understand how they can help to keep employees healthy and in the office during the flu season. During the webinar Steve Pellito, National Director of Wellness with Maxim Health Systems, does a great job of outlining “10 Steps for Maintaining Business Continuity during a Flu Pandemic,” while providing plenty of other valuable flu specific news.

It’s never too early to think about flu prevention. I thought this would be something you might like to link to or repost on your blog as a good reference for your readers for the upcoming flu season.

Thank you for your time in reviewing this information! If you are interested in learning more about this topic, I can be reached at 202-587-2504 x. 2504 or by replying to this email.

Thank you again, and I look forward to speaking with you soon!

  2. As a seasoned retail executive, I’ve always struggled with retaining hourly associates and giving annual review increases year over year over year ….which increases sell cost. It’s important to retain associates and reduce turnover, but ultimately that adds expense. I understand you improve best practices and productivity with Six Sigma,Lean, etc to reduce expense to fund annual review increases, but what happenes when those strategies run their course and there’s no more room to improve ? What do you suggest to retailers how to manage this human capital challenge in the workforce today ?
